With FEST - New Directors | New Films Festival celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2019, the good news don’t stop.

That being said, it is with great pleasure that we announce the awards for Silver Lynx, the international short film competition and for the Portuguese Grand Prix, the competition that rewards the best Portuguese Short Films.

Thus, the Silver Lynx will reward the winners of the four sections that compose the competition with 500 Euros for Fiction, 400 for Documentary, 300 for Experimental Cinema and 300 for Animation. The PGP will award the best Portuguese Short Film with 1500 Euros.

The Silver Lynx is the international short film competition that aims to present filmmakers up to 35 years old.

Throughout the years, this competition has offered a closer look of the present and future of film, with authors like Patrick Vollrath (Germany), Ninja Thyberg (Sweden), Manuel Abramovich (Argentina), Daria Belova (Russia), Simon Mésa Soto (Colombia), Aga Woszczynska (Poland), Jela Hasler (Switzerland), Govinda Van Maele (Luxemburg), Christos Massalas (Greece), Mati Diop (France), Adriano Valerio (Italy) or Lukasz Ostalski (Poland) among hundreds of others that have taken the first steps here.

The Portuguese Grand Prix is a FEST universe classic and very clearly reflects one of the central objectives of FEST - Associação Cultural, in particular, our will to further stimulate film production in Portuguese territory, but also the multiplication of promotional platforms for Portuguese audiovisual content.
