Filthy e Needle Boy are the two must see's when it comes to the Golden Lynx competition for today. Directed by Tereza Nvotová, Filthy is a personal drama about superation and empowerment.  Needle Boy, Alexander Bak's new feature film is a provocative exercise that tries to unlock the mind of a potencial serial killers.

BRIAN MUIR: BRIAN MUIR - SCULPTING FOR FILM: PAST CHALLENGES, NEW CHALLENGES . 1 PM . Auditório Multimeios

In this masterclass participants will be able to walk alongside Brian Muir’s experience and explore how to get into the film industry, what the biggest challenges of it are and how one can use adversity to hone one’s skills and improve their work.

FEST VILLAGE . ALL DAY . AVENIDA 8

Right in the center of Espinho, in Alameda 8, there is a bus - probably the most cinematic bus in Portugal. This bus marks the site for the Festival Village, where the best of cinema meets the best of Espinho. Until June the 25th, anyone from 0 to 99 can learn all about several practical cinema techniques: film set simulation, chroma key, characterization, foley, augmented reality. In parallel there will also be sessions of short films under the motto "Celebrate the Earth". There will also be short film sessions. 

FEST SURF: LAS OLAS . 9.30 PM . GREEN COAST BEACH CINEMA

Las Olas explores what it means to be a surfer. Through the telling of six stories from local surfers, we journey through Central America and discover the joy of surfing. For such a simple act of sliding over a wave, whole lives and landscapes change. Is surfing more than just a sport?
