FEST is delighted to announce the return of one of its most illustrious guest speakers in the recent past: none else then European film’s living legend Béla Tarr.
After a much talked about presence at FEST – Training Ground in 2016, the Hungarian director will be returning to Espinho this coming February for a two-week long FEST FILM LAB workshop.
This is a beyond rare chance for 12 lucky participants to spend two weeks under the guidance of one of film history’s most revered auteurs. Béla Tarr will be not only sharing some of his precious experience and process with the participants, but will also attempt at interpreting each participants perspective and background in order to guide them in the production of a short film.
Béla Tarr's path is anything but conventional, with a distinguished career that spans across 3 decades, filled with some of the most coveted awards in the film festival circuit, and a film style without parallel.
All information about the workshop and the application process can be found in the FEST FILM LAB website.
The deadline for applying is the 15th of December and the workshop will take place in Espinho (Portugal) between the 26th of February to the 11th of March 2018.
