How to get here

Espinho is easily accessible by various means of transportation.

If you are flying to the event, Oporto International Airport is merely 25 kilometers away from Espinho and is therefore the best choice. From there, both the metro line, railway and highway connect the two cities.

Also, FEST has a partnership with the main train provider in Portugal - CP - which means you can get really low fares in trains connecting Espinho to Oporto and discounts in trainstrains connecting Espinho to Lisbon. If you have registered for the event, you will have received a voucher that allows you to buy tickets using these discount at the ticket station.

Arriving to Oporto

There is a metro leaving from the airport three times an hour starting at 06:00 in the morning and until 00:35 at night. The easiest way is to get off at Campanhã and there change to a train towards Espinho.

At the ticket vending machines in the airport you should buy a z6 ticket (this covers both the metro ride and the train) which costs 2.65 Euros. You can use this ticket from Oporto Airport all the way to Espinho. Don’t forget to validate your ticket before entering the metro and again before entering the train!

Trains leave from the stations Campanhã and São Bento and will take between 17 and 30 minutes, depending on the number of stations served on the way, at a cost of 1.70 Euros. These cheap trains are suburban lines and have the final destination Ovar or Aveiro. You can buy the tickets in one of the machines or at the ticket office of the two stations.

 

Arriving to Lisbon

Espinho train station is served by the main railway in Portugal and it is very easy to find train connections from Lisbon. If you are flying to Lisbon airport, 260 kilometers from Espinho, there are many trains departing form/ stopping in Espinho. Driving

If you are driving to Espinho, you can use one of the main highways passing very close to the city. A1 and A29 will bring you to the event fast and easily.
